Hi, I’m Colleen Jones. I am a licensed professional counselor in Arkansas.
It could be a subtle shift or a big life event that has you looking for a safe place to work through something. We are not born with instructions on how to regulate our bodies. Instead we are often taught to push things away, to just keep moving, or to use our bootstraps. Figuring out how to regulate the connection between mind, body and emotions is difficult work to do at the best of times. Often as humans we are not ready for change until we are uncomfortable and pushed to our limit. Then when things are not good again within a day or two we start spiraling into shame, guilt, depression, failure, anxiety, fear…ect. As the world continues around us we feel disconnected from everything and everyone in it. I want you to know why this process makes sense to the body. With work and understanding you can learn to move through these processes and even shorten them. Coming to therapy can be a gift to yourself and everyone around you.
Taking this first step can be overwhelming. You do not have to take the first steps alone. You deserve to feel calm and safe. I hope to connect with you soon.
At this time I can only accept clients in AR. All session are telehealth. I am accepting new clients 18 years old and older. I can accept cash pay, Aetna, Ambetter, Blue Cross & Blue Shield AR, Cigna, New Directions, Lucet, Optum, United Medical Resources (UMR), UnitedHealthcare UHC / UBH insurance. I do offer a reduced rate as needed.
I start all Client relationships with a 15 min phone session. Please reach out by email, text or phone call. Or by booking through simple practice online.
My Approach
I am trained in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and work from a person centered approach. I bring in elements from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), somatic experiencing and focusing in to session.
